Dennis Stolkey, HP Enterprise Services

Dennis Stolkey is senior vice president of the Americas region for HP Enterprise Services, where he is responsible for accelerating market expansion and driving improved revenue and profit.

Prior to his current role, Stolkey was the senior vice president and general manager of HP Enterprise Services’ U.S. public sector business, where he handled company relationships with senior military officers as well as federal, state and local government customers.

Stolkey is a 26-year veteran of the company, formerly known as EDS. EDS was acquired by General Motors in 1984, spun-off in 1996, and later acquired again by HP in 2008. He originally joined EDS in 1985 to support telecommunications, and four years later became division vice president. In this role, he had oversight of the company’s data, video and computer product lines.

In 1993, he became vice president of airline services and two years later was named division vice president of airline services and global airline accounts. A company release says Stolkey was instrumental in building EDS’ air transport services unit, which provided services to more than 120 airlines, air services, airports and air cargo clients in 26 countries.

As president of EDS’ North American operations, Stolkey was responsible for providing IT services to all areas of GM’s operations in North America as well as manufacturing for GM’s product development and manufacturing business units.

Prior to his HP public sector leadership role, Stolkey was vice president of the company’s business unit for U.S. communications, media and entertainment. He was responsible for financial and sales performance, service excellence, and employee care.

He also led global network design and operations, with responsibility for all network services within EDS, including portfolio, engineering and delivery.

Stolkey has also served as vice president of the U.S. communications industry group, responsible for providing IT applications and business process outsourcing services for U.S. communications clients.

Before joining EDS, Stolkey spent 20 years with AT&T and Michigan Bell. While at these firms he managed operations, telemarketing, and sales and service organizations.

Stolkey attended Lawrence Technological University and later took courses at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
