Lockheed CEO Stevens Inducted Into Washington Business Hall of Fame

Lockheed CEO Bob Stevens

Lockheed Martin Chairman and CEO Bob Stevens was inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame last week during a ceremony at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington.

A company release says the ceremony recognizes business leaders who make a, “significant contribution to the quality of life in the National Capital Area.”

Inductees are selected for the lifetime acheivement award by a committee that consists of members of the Hall’s founding organizations: The Greater Washington Board of TradeJunior Achievement of Greater Washington, and Washingtonian Magazine.

While closing his acceptance speech, Stevens asked those in attendance to remember U.S. troops serving overseas, according to the Lockheed release.

“Some, probably far too many, are in harm’s way even as we gather here this evening,” Stevens said. “So while you are with your families, if you could find a moment to keep them in your thoughts and in your prayers, I know they would appreciate it.”
