Profile: Jack Walters, Regional VP for Verizon’s National Intelligence Sector

Jack Walters of Verizon

Jack Walters currently serves as regional vice president for Verizon Business‘ national intelligence sector.

In this role Walters is responsible for strategic solution service supporting U.S. intelligence agencies and other special programs.

Walters is a veteran of the business, having 35 years of experience in developing and delivering global communications and IT solutions. He has provided service to numerous fortune 1000 companies as well as the U.S. and foreign markets.

Prior to joining Verizon’s federal team in 2004, Walters acted as the lead executive for the International Network Services organization in London, England.

The organization he led provided IT services for the international layer 1 optical network, which transports layer 2 & 3 services provided to multi-national enterprise and government customers.

Walters has received such awards and recognition as the following:

  • Senior Executive Leader of the Year in 2000 Network Technology Readiness Taskforce
  • Special Executive Representative to Signaling Network Systems Committee of the Federal Communications Commission’s Network Reliability Council and Executive Representative
  • Technical Advisor to the Common Channel Signaling Taskforce of the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee
