Raytheon Wins EPA WasteWise Award for ‘Very Large Business Partner of the Year’

The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Raytheon the agency’s “Very Large Business Partner of the Year” award, in its WasteWise program, which is intended to help organizations reduce and recycle both municipal solid waste and selected industrial wastes.

The EPA said in its announcement that Raytheon only had a few sites in New England when it became a WasteWise partner in 2002. The company now has 45 sites in 42 locations according to the EPA.

Raytheon has saved $2 million through its waste reduction programs, the EPA said.
