SAIC Receives Contractor of the Year Award for NASA Contract

SAIC recently received the 2011 Marshall Space Flight Center Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year award.

The award was presented at the Office of National Aeronautics and Space Administration Small Business Programs industry award ceremony at the Dulles, Va. Hyatt on Nov. 4, 2011.

SAIC was selected for its leadership and support under the NASA Unified Information Technology Services contract.

The company has previously been recognized in both 2009 and 2010 with the Prime Contractors Excellence Award and the Small Business Advocacy Award in support of the NASA MSFCs Small Business subcontracting programs.

“SAIC is thrilled to be the recipient of the Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year award,” said Dan Harris, SAIC senior vice president in Huntsville.

“We recognize the value of working with, nurturing, and contributing to the development of our small business teams and understand that with small business partnerships we can deliver superior benefits to NASA,” he added.

The annual award is presented to large prime contractors who demonstrate overall sound small business programs by meeting small business requirments, utilizing small business contractors for technical requirements and sponsoring small business activities.
