Booz Allen Offering Key Executives As Keynote Speakers

Booz Allen Hamilton is offering executives such as Chairman, CEO and President Ralph Shrader as keynote speakers for conferences, the Washington Post reports.

According to the Post, Booz Allen has created a speakers bureau to manage requests for speakers and to increase the number of speaking events. Many executives’ profiles include a link where they can be requested for speaking events.

Booz Allen Vice Chairman Mike McConnell is part of the speakers bureau. Additional speakers include:

  • Susan Penfield, senior vice president, specializing in management and strategic use of health information technology
  • Laurie Gallo, SVP, leading Booz Allen’s support to elements of the national security community
  • Michael Farber, SVP for Booz Allen’s IT business
  • Bill Stewart, SVP, leading the cyber technologies center of excellence

Guy Ben-Ari, the deputy director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ defense-industrial initiatives group, told the Post it is rare for a company to offer up a CEO like Booz Allen has. However, Ben-Ari added companies find ways to spread their thoughts on strategy and leadership.

“You can be certain that all the big defense players … have offices dedicated to these sorts of things, whether it’s part of their [public relations] office or Washington [operations] office,” Ben-Ari said.
