Former HP Marketing, Strategy VP Heads to Oracle

Former Hewlett-Packard executive Tom LaRocca has joined Oracle as vice president of worldwide product strategy and alliances, according to a CRN report.

At HP, LaRocca was vice president of marketing and strategy in HP’s solutions partners organizations. He was also a key architect of HP’s PartnerONE program according to CRN’s report.

John Convery, executive vice president of vendor relations and marketing at Denali Advanced Integration, told CRN LaRocca was the “father” of the program.

“He certainly understands the channel and what motivates partners,” Convery said. ” I think he’ll bring a tremendous amount of expertise to Oracle.”
