Timothy Caswell, Mission Solutions Engineering

Timothy Caswell is president of Mission Solutions Engineering, a ASRC Federal company.

He leads more than 600 employees who provide full systems and software engineering services to U.S. and allied government customers.

Caswell previously served as vice president and general manager of Computer Sciences Corp.’s air, missile and national defense business unit. The business provided services for integrated end-to-end operation, acquisition and software services to Defense Department clients. At CSC, Caswell was responsible over 140 employees and profit-and-loss.

Caswell was also vice president of the business unit’s missile defense programs, providing scientific, engineering and technical assistance services to the Missile Defense Agency.

Caswell also served as program manager of a 6-year, $250 million CSC contract, providing SETA support to the MDA’s ground-based midcourse defense joint program office. He managed a team of more than 400 people and 40 companies. He was also responsible for the contact cost, performance and scheduling.

Caswell joined CSC in 1998 when it acquired BDM International’s air and missile defense business unit. He joined BDM in 1997 after retiring from the Air Force.

From 1992 to 1997, Caswell served in the Air Force’s strategic defense initiative organization/ballistic missile defense organization. Positions he held in the organization included executive officer to the BMDO director, program integration director to the BMDO’s general manager, and deputy director for business management for the Brilliant Pebbles Program office.

Caswell served as part of the Air Force acquisition staff in the Major Command and Secretariat of Air Force levels. From 1976 to 1987, he flew versions of the F-111 aircraft as a weapons system officer and electronic warfare officer in fighter squadrons in the U.S. and England.

Caswell holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oregon State University and has completed master’s courses in international relations and economics from Catholic University and Old Dominion University. He also holds the Defense Systems Management College‘s level 3 certification in program management.
