Ciber Promotes North America EVP Rick Genovese to COO

Ciber Inc. promoted Rick Genovese to chief operating officer, where he will oversee all of the company’s operating divisions, Ciber announced Thursday.

Ciber President and CEO Dave Peterschmidt said Genovese will be responsible for unifying and improving Ciber’s global operations.

Genovese joined Ciber in 2011 as executive vice president of the company’s North American operations.

Peterschmidt credited Genovese with improving the division’s structure, discipline and performance.

Prior to joining Ciber, Genovese held leadership positions with companies such as IBMPrice Waterhouse Coopers and Electronic Data Systems.

Genovese was a member of both IBM’s global business services leadership group and PwC’s global partnership council for consulting services.

At IBM, Genovese served as general manager of application services for the Americas.

Prior to that, he served as IBM’s general manager of the business processing outsourcing for the Americas and as managing partner of the communications consulting sector for global business services.
