SafeNet Reshuffles Executive Team for Cloud, Security Plans

SafeNet Inc. appointed new executive leaders to support the company’s growth initiatives in cloud computing and enterprise security, the company announced Tuesday.

“Customers are demanding more sophisticated and secure solutions that protect their high-value data wherever it resides,” said SafeNet President and CEO Chris Fedde. “Increasingly, that means protecting information as it transitions to and through the cloud.”

Tsion Gonen was appointed chief strategy and marketing officer, where he will develop the company’s global business strategies and report to Fedde.

Gonen is also responsible for communicating business strategies to employees, customers and partners.

Sangeeta Anand was appointed general manager and corporate vice president for enterprise and commercial data protection, where he will lead the company’s data protection business.

Anand will report to Phil Saunders, executive vice president and chief revenue officer.

Anand previously was vice president of product management and product marketing for Cisco Systems’ cloud services and switching technology group.

Slawek Lieger was appointed corporate vice president for product development, where he will lead development of the company’s commercial data protection product portfolio.

Lieger will report to Chief Technology Officer Russ Dietz.
