IntegenX Names Former Top FBI Technology Official to Board

IntegenX Inc. has appointed 24-year FBI and technology veteran Louis Grever to the board of directors, the company announced Wednesday.

He recently retired from the FBI and most recently served as the executive assistant director for the bureau’s science and technology branch.

In that position, he was responsible for the bureau’s forensic, biometric, and applied technology support to law enforcement.

The FBI’s laboratory, criminal justice information services and operational technology divisions delivered that support.

He will assist the company in its rollout of a DNA identification system for U.S. and international markets, CEO Dr. Steven Jovanovich said.

The company said the IntegenX RapidHIT 200 can produce results from DNA samples in less than 90 minutes.

Grever joined the bureau in 1988 and was promoted in 2006 to serve as special assistant to the science and technology branch executive assistant director.

The bureau founded the branch that same year.

In 2007, the FBI promoted him to deputy to the executive assistant director and became director a year later.
