Northrop Wins Award for Precision Navigation

Northrop Grumman Corp. has won a Jimmy Doolittle Education Fellow from the Air Force Association’s Central Florida chapter for its work in precision navigation.

Elizabeth Iversen, navigation systems division sector vice president and general manager, accepted the award during the Air Force’s gala banquet on February 24 in Orlando, Fla.

The award honors the late Gen. Jimmy Doolittle, an aviation pioneer and active promoter of aerospace technologies.

The Falls Church, Va.-based contractor provides internal navigation systems, internal sensor technologies and situational awareness systems.

Northrop also recently won a Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce’s public safety corporate vital link award for its work with public safety personnel.
