USIS Hosts Discussion on State of Federal Contracting

Altegrity subsidiary US Investigations Services recently held a roundtable discussion on the federal budget and contracting processes.

USIS said Stan Soloway, president and CEO of Professional Services Council, gave an overview of the state of the contracting industry and discussed trends in State Department, Defense Department and Department of Homeland Security funding.

Soloway is a former deputy defense undersecretary for acquisition reform and directed a Pentagon reform initiative under then-Secretary William Cohen.

Soloway said the growth of contractor professional services did not outpace the growth of the federal budget for the first time in ten years last year.

Soloway also emphasized the importance of compliance, ethics and transparency when contracting with the federal government.
