Profile: Robert Frizzelle, CSC VP And GM For Mission Systems

Robert Frizzelle is vice president and general manager of Computer Sciences Corp.’s mission systems division, an organization that supports programs at the National Security Agency and remote sensor operations from unmanned aerial vehicles.

This division is a segment of the intelligence group, within the North American public sector.

He previously served as a vice president within Northrop Grumman’s information systems sector, where he led the company’s cyber campaign. During his 21 years at Northrop and TRW, he led system engineering activities and software development programs that focused on integrating, managing and operating remote sensing and processing applications in submarine, air, and space vehicles.

According to Northrop, he led the capture of several prime contracts, including a $700 million mission data processing system, a $1 billion space system and a $5 billion missile program. The company added that he gave a 17-chart presentation that resulted in an unanticipated $170 million sole source award.

Frizzelle learned and practiced system engineering at Lockheed Martin’s missiles and space company in Sunnyvale, Calif. He graduated from Duke University’s ROTCE program and served in the U.S. Air Force for five years as a signals intelligence officer, earning a Meritorious Service Medal.
