Maximus‘ foundation has distributed $100,000 to dozens of nonprofit organizations, including several that are located in the Washington area, the company announced Thursday.

The donations are part of the foundation’s spring grant cycle.

Funds donated by employees go to organizations that address issues such as homelessness, job loss, child abuse and poor health, said Dr. John Boyer, the foundation’s chairman.

Washington-based recipients of grants include the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, DEA Educational Foundation, Dreams for Kids, The Fishing School and Mary’s Center for Maternal and Childcare.

In Maryland, KEEN Greater DC, Primary Care Coalition of Montgomery County and A Wider Circle will receive grants.

Virginia-based organizations set to receive funds include the Children’s AIDS Fund, Herndon-Reston FISH, ROSMY, Safe Harbor and WETA-TV.
