GTSI Corp. is holding its second annual five-kilometer race Oct. 13 at its Herndon, Va. headquarters to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project, the company announced Tuesday.

Last year’s GTSI Charity 5K Run/Walk raised more than $45,000 in donations, the company said.

“The GTSI Charity 5K Run/Walk brings together our employees, government customers, industry partners and the community to help the Wounded Warrior Project and their mission to honor and empower wounded warriors,” CEO Sterling Phillips said in a release.

The company has a social media campaign, where for every “like” or new follower they receive, GTSI will donate one dollar to the foundation for a maximum $5,000.

Packet pickup for shirts, bibs and chips for online registrants is scheduled for Oct. 12 between 5 p.m and 7:30pm, and Oct. 13 from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

On-site registration is also available and awards will go to the top three female and male race finalists.
