Exelis to Present C4ISR Portfolio at AFA Conference; Bob Edmonds Comments

ITT Exelis will present several of its offerings in C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) and electronic warfare at an Air Force Association conference this week.

The company said the Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition is taking place Monday through Wednesday at the Gaylord Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.

Exelis intends to communicate with U.S. Air Force customers about the company’s offerings and continue building relationships with existing and potential industry partners, said Bob Edmonds, vice president of Air Force programs.

Representatives from IBL — a joint venture between Exelis, BAE Systems and L-3 Communications — will also attend the conference to discuss its work on an upcoming Air Force launch range operations support contract.

Exelis, L-3 and CACI International (NYSE: CACI) hold prime positions on an estimated $300 million contract to perform research and development work for the Air Force’s cyber programs.

Exelis will display airborne remote sensing systems, GPS technology, information processing, aerostructures, night vision goggles for pilots and sensors for unmanned aerial systems.
