STG CEO Simon Lee to Accept GWU Alumni Award

Simon Lee

STG Chairman and CEO Simon Lee will accept an alumni achievement award from George Washington University Thursday, recognizing his philanthropic contributions to educational and community initiatives.

The company said the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award is the highest form of recognition to an alumnus given by the university and the George Washington Alumni Association, founded to maintain relationships between alumni and the university.

“As an entrepreneur, the education I received has been invaluable to me,” Lee said in a release. “Entrepreneurship and philanthropy are both investments, and it is important to strike a balance between the two.”

Lee recently became chairman of the board of directors and was succeeded by Paul Fernandes as president.
