CGI’s Barb Fast Comments on $23B Army EAGLE Contract Vehicle

CGI Federal holds a prime position on a $23 billion contract vehicle to provide the U.S. Army logistics services, the company announced Tuesday.

Through the Enhanced Army Global Logistics Enterprise program, structured as a basic ordering agreement, the company will submit proposals for task orders to deliver logistics services at Army logistics centers, located at 73 Army installations worldwide.

“For more than 20 years, CGI has delivered logistics services to support Army organizations, units and soldiers worldwide,” said Barb Fast, vice president for army and defense intelligence programs.

Fast, a retired U.S. Army major general, said the Army will use this procurement approach as a new way to buy services.

“This is particularly important as clients face budget pressures and evolving logistics requirements based on the Army’s drawdown overseas,” she added.

Services under the EAGLE program cover materiel maintenance, retail and wholesale supply and transportation.
