PV Puvvada Comments on Unisys $2.5B GSA Cloud Email BPA Position

PV Puvvada, Unisys

Unisys holds a position on a potential $2.5 billion General Services Administration blanket purchase agreement to provide cloud computing email services to government agencies.

The company said it will compete for task orders to provide agencies at all levels of government cloud-based services for email, collaboration, office automation and electronic records management.

PV Puvvada, group vice president for civilian agencies at Unisys Federal Systems, said the company will offer agencies both community and private cloud solutions on two of the leading cloud email platforms.

The community cloud will be based on Google Apps for Government, designed for access by multiple organizations with similar missions, while the private cloud for singular agencies will be based on Microsoft’s Office 365.
