Grant Thornton LLP announced last month that Randy Robason will lead its international tax practice, according to a company statement.

“Randy’s vast client experience and heritage in our firm’s leadership align strongly with the need to continue to drive growth in this segment of our business,” said Doreen Griffith, Grant Thornton’s national managing partner of Tax services.

Tax leaders Joe Calianno of the Washington National Tax Office and U.S. Transfer Pricing Practice leader David Bowen comprise Robason’s U.S. international tax leadership team.

Robason will continue to manage the firm’s tax accounting and risk advisory services practice.

Robason joined the company in 2004 as its Carolinas tax practice leader. He served as the firm’s Southeast region managing tax partner, Dallas office managing partner and chair of the Grant Thornton Benefit Plan Trustees.

Robason has served on the firm’s partnership board for six years. He also serves on the executive committees of Downtown Dallas, the World Affairs Council and the University of North Texas Foundation.
