URS Corp. has appointed Tim McLevish, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Kraft Foods Group, to the board of directors, effective immediately.

According to URS, McLevish was the principal executive responsible for planning and overseeing the separation of the former Kraft Foods Inc. into two independent companies, Kraft Foods Group and Mondelez International.

URS Chairman and CEO Martin Koffel said McLevish brings knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, procedures and risk management gained through a decade of CFO experience.

From 2007 to 2011, he served as EVP and CFO of Kraft Foods Inc. and joined Kraft Foods Group as CFO immediately after the separation.

Before joining Kraft, he served as senior VP and CFO at Ingersoll-Rand Company Limited starting in 2002 and spent a 15-year career at Mead Corp., where he was named CFO in 1999.

He held other finance, administration and leadership roles at Mead, according to URS.
