Maximus Announces $150K Fall Grant Cycle; John Boyer Comments

The Maximus Foundation has distributed nearly $150,000 in grants to more than 65 non-profit organizations as part of its fall grant cycle.

Maximus said the foundation is its philanthropic arm, providing financial assistance to many of the same populations and local communities the company works with as a health and human services programs contractor.

“We are pleased to provide financial support during our latest grant cycle to so many commendable organizations that help improve the lives of children and families,” commented Dr. John Boyer, chairman of the Maximus Foundation. “These grants are made possible in part by the generous contributions from MAXIMUS employees and will be used for innovative programs that address some of our country’s most pressing health and social issues, such as physical and developmental disabilities, homelessness, unemployment and nutritional needs.”

The foundation provides grants to Washington area-based community organizations with programs and projects in child and youth development, health, and community development.
