Raytheon Subsidiary to Run UK Apprenticeship Program; Kirsty Huntington Comments

A Raytheon subsidiary has won a contract to manage apprenticeship programs in the U.K. for Cable&Wireless Worldwide, the company announced Thursday.

Raytheon Professional Services LLC will manage programs involving telecommunications engineering, business and administration and customer service.

“The continued development of vocational skills is an enabler to long-term employment, career progression and mobility in the telecommunications market,” said Kirsty Huntington, program manager for the CWW Apprenticeship Programme.

Mark Oliver, managing director of RPS’ Europe, Middle East and Africa region, said participants use the program to prepare for careers in a trade and industry.

RPS, based in Milton Keynes and Nottingham, will also carry out qualification assessments and virtual classroom training for the program.
