James Kroeker

Deloitte has named James L. Kroeker, former chief accountant of the Securities and Exchange Commission, as deputy managing partner for its professional practice effective January 7, 2013 and pending approval from the organization’s board of directors.

According to a company statement, Kroeker is expected to report directly to Deloitte’s CEO, promote high audit quality and serve as the senior consultative resource in helping Deloitte’s engagement teams and clients reach high financial reporting conclusions.

Joseph Echevarria, Deloitte’s CEO, said that Kroeker has a different perspective in auditing and accounting and has technical knowledge, experience and client service expertise.
