Lockheed’s Judy Burke on $7B Army Software Engineering IDIQ

LockheedLogoLockheed Martin is one of 11 companies competing to perform software and systems engineering services on a $7 billion U.S. Army contract.

The company said the Software and Systems Engineering Services Next Generation program supports C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) missions in defense and civilian agencies.

“Timely, actionable information saves lives,” said Judy Burke, vice president of mission support for the global training and logistics business. “Lockheed Martin’s focus for SSES NexGen is to provide warfighters in the field with reliable software and technical solutions that help them complete their missions effectively and safely.”

Awardees will compete for projects over five years on the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (click over to GovCon Wire for a list of awardees).

Lockheed supports deployed U.S. and coalition troops through software development and sustainment projects for the Army Communications-Electronics Command’s software engineering center.
