CA Technologies and DonorsChoose.org are partnering to promote science, technology, engineering, and math education programs, according to a CA Technologies statement.

“STEM education is preparing the next generation’s workforce for careers in high technology by exposing them to the role of IT in the real world,” said Adam Famularo, CA Technologies senior vice president and a DonorsChoose.org national advisory council member.

Under the program, teachers can submit funding request for  classroom projects and materials.

Charles Best, DonorsChoose.org founder, said the partnership will “build expertise and excitement for STEM learning within communities by introducing these critical subjects into the classroom.”

The program will also allocate funds to STEM education classroom project requests from high-need schools in Arizona, New York, Texas, California, Virginia, Georgia, Illinois, Washington and Massachusetts.

Teachers and schools can submit funding requests through the DonorsChoose.org website.

CA Technologies invested $100,000 in the program.
