Grant Thornton Names Mark Henshaw, Brent Bersin Forensic, Valuation Practice Managing Directors

GrantThorntonLogoGrant Thornton is appointing Mark Henshaw and Brent Bersin as managing directors as part of the firm’s initiative to expand its portfolio of valuation, forensic technology, dispute and litigation services.

Henshaw will be responsible for building the company’s real estate valuation services portfolio and Bersin will lead the Houston-based litigation and disputes practice, the firm said.

Bersin will concentrate on consulting and expert testimony in disputes and litigation matters.

According to Grant Thornton, Henshaw has 27 years of experience in analyzing and valuing investment grade assets and special purpose properties.

The firm said those properties include industrial and manufacturing, research and development buildings, office buildings, hotels, malls and shopping centers, apartments and subdivision developments as well as various special purpose properties such as medical office buildings, hospitals, independent and assisted living facilities, data centers and mixed-use properties.

He previously served as a managing director in the real estate valuation practice for Duff & Phelps and currently serves on the board of the Appraisal Institute Houston Chapter.

Bersin has nearly 20 years experience in providing financial and economic damages quantification consulting and expert witness services, the company said.

He previously served as director and shareholder of Houston-based consulting boutique IPFC Corp. and was a leader at Navigant and Charles River Associates.
