Science Applications International Corp. holds a prime position on a potential $900 million contract to produce and install capabilities for the U.S. Navy‘s C5ISR missions (command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance).
The company said it is one of seven awardees on the five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, under which the company will compete for task orders to support subsurface and surface platforms.
“We look forward to providing SSC Atlantic with expertise in production, installation, life-cycle logistics, training, and large-scale integration capabilities,” said Jim Thigpen, a senior vice president and business unit general manager.
SAIC will compete to provide the Navy enterprise engineering, test planning and execution for delivering systems that support the Navy’s C5ISR requirements.
The company said SSC Atlantic’s mission is to provide cybersecurity, response and engineering services to naval, joint and federal agencies.
