Science Applications International Corp. will compete to provide the U.S. Navy life-cycle support services under a potential $900 million C5ISR systems contract (command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance).

The company said it is one of seven awardees on the potential five-year contract, awarded by Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic.

John Thomas, senior vice president and general manager for intelligence systems, said the company is aiming to help SSC Atlantic support warfighters by providing the center C5ISR systems and lifecycle support services.

SAIC said it will research, develop, test, evaluate, produce and field C5ISR systems with the intent of developing interoperable systems.

The company will also develop products for enterprise information services, space and battlespace awareness.
