Siemens CEO Eric Spiegel will speak to Penn State University engineering students this month as the company is starting a research collaboration partnership with the university, GantDaily reports.

Beth Colledge writes Spiegel will address the students Jan. 24 on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Signed last year, the partnership agreement calls for Siemens and Penn State to collaborate on projects involving healthcare, infrastructure, energy, people development, sustainability and research and development.

The partnership is Siemens’ first with an American university, according to the report.

Siemens provided the university equipment for testing turbine cooling technology and medical imaging technology for research projects such as concussions in sports, according to GantDaily.
