Andrew Humphreys Named BAE Middle East VP; Ben Bridge Comments

baeGceAndrew Humphreys, previously vice president for BAE Systems‘ Southern Europe and Canada businesses, has been appointed VP for the Middle East business.

Humphreys will work with regional directors in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman in his new role, the company said Wednesday.

He succeeds Ben Bridge, who now serves as regional managing director for BAE’s Middle East and Africa business (click here for our coverage of Bridge’s appointment and background).

Bridge said Humphreys brings experience in developing commercial relationships to his new role and that he will particularly focus on Oman and the UAE.

“This opportunity in the Middle East represents a fantastic challenge for me in this stage of my career,” Humphreys said.

“I am looking forward to developing existing strategic relationships in the region, as well as forging new ones,” he added.

Humphreys will also be responsible for developing and maintaining regional partnerships and joint ventures in the region.

Prior to heading the Southern Europe and Canada businesses, he served as VP of BAE Southern Africa and held other positions in the company’s U.K.-based military aircraft headquarters.
