Northrop Showcasing C4I, Security Tech At Abu Dhabi Forum; David Perry Comments

Northrop Grumman will present defense and security technologies for air, land and sea combat at an international defense industry forum in the United Arab Emirates.

The tri-service International Defence Exhibition and Conference will take place between Feb. 17 and 21 and also feature some of Northrop’s cyber offerings, the company said Wednesday.

Featured technologies will include areas of C4I (command, control, communications, computers and intelligence), airborne early warning and control systems, aerial surveillance, fire control radars and marine navigation systems.

David Perry, corporate vice president and chief global business development officer, said the company has worked with the Gulf Cooperation Council over several decades.

At its exhibit stand, the company will present a crew workstation and cockpit simulator for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye to demonstrate potential uses in the military and civil sectors.

Northrop has delivered nine Hawkeyes to the U.S. Navy and initial operational capability with the U.S. Navy fleet is scheduled for 2015, the company said.

Radars scheduled for presentation include the AN/APR-39 radar, the APG-80 Scalable Agile Beam Radar for the F-16 and the APG-81 for the F-35.

The company will also displaythe  MK39 Mod 4 ring laser gyro inertial navigation system for naval vessels, the AQS-24A mine hunting sonar system, unmanned surface vehicle technology and the AN/AES-1 airborne laser mine detection system.
