David Zolet serves as Computer Sciences Corp.’s North American public sector executive vice president & general manager, a position he elevated to in June 2012 after previously serving as the sector’s president of business development.
As businsess development lead, he led market planning, market shaping and account and opportunity management activities related to enterprise-wide new business opportunities.
Prior to joining CSC, Zolet served as vice president for systems integration at IBM, where he led an organization that developed information technology solutions and systems for clients’ mission needs.
Prior to IBM, Zolet spent 26 years with Northrop Grumman, including service as vice president and general manager of the enterprise infrastructure business group within Northrop’s information technology sector.
According to Northrop, the focuses on providing IT infrastructure solutions to commercial and government clients at the state and local level as well as with the Defense Department.
Zolet also spent time overseeing the commercial, state and local group for Northrop’s IT sector, with operations throughout the U.S. and the U.K.
Zolet was also president of the IT sector’s defense group, providing IT services to the Pentagon. He has also served as vice president of corporate business development, where he oversaw business opportunities and made capture activity-related decisions.
Zolet was also vice president of homeland security for Northrop, where he coordinated homeland security solutions across the company and was responsible for pursuing new business opportunities.
He also served as VP and general manager of Northrop’s civil systems division, which provides command and control centers to the public safety community.
In 1994, Zolet was selected to participate in a one-year congressional fellows program sponsored by the Brookings Institution. He worked for then-Rep. Amory Houghton Jr.
Zolet holds both bachelor’s and master’s dgrees in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He additionally holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
