SAIC_logoScience Applications International Corp. holds a position on a $249 million prime contract to develop command and control applications for the U.S. Air Force‘s Air Combat Command.

SAIC will perform work under the six-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in McLean, Va., and Morgantown, W.Va., SAIC announced Wednesday.

The company and six other contractors will compete for task orders to develop applications and information services for space and cyberspace domains.

Dan Harris, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general, said the company is aiming to help warfighters produce information for decisions.

SAIC is aiming to help the Air Force migrate from older applications and hardware to a new infrastructure.

The ACC delivers combat airpower to U.S. war-fighting commands and supports global implementation of national security strategy.
