Executive Profile: Wayne Lucernoni, Harris IT Services President

Wayne Lucernoni

Wayne Lucernoni serves as president of Harris Corp.’s information technology services business, having initially assumed the role on an acting basis in December 2012.

Prior to that, he served as vice president for the intelligence and civil programs in the IT services unit.

In that capacity, Lucernoni was responsible for growing and executing a portfolio of business across federal civilian agencies and the Intelligence Community.

Previously, Lucernoni had been a VP in both civil and intelligence program areas, as well as program director and deputy program manager on Harris’ second largest program, the National Reconnaissance Office’s (NRO) Patriot contract.

He served for 8 years in various director and controller roles in services, civil systems, and at the overall government division level.

Harris IT Services designs, deploys and operates secure communication systems and information networks with optimal reliability and affordability for customers in government and commercial markets.

They also deliver expertise in program management, enterprise services management, and information assurance.

According to his company biography, Lucernoni worked in mid-sized government contracting firms which were both service and manufacturing focused prior to Harris.

Lucernoni holds a bachelor of business administration from James Madison University’s School of Accounting, Certified Public Account (CPA) certification in Maryland and Virginia, and has completed The Executive Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School.

Lucernoni represents Harris by commenting on the contract, saying that Harris will continue to support the Department of State to the best of its ability.

Lucernoni is again quoted in the Harris Corporation contract award. He said that Harris has 12 years of experience with the Bureau of Consular Affairs and are proud to help adjudicate visas and thereby protect national security.
