GTRI Wins Lockheed Award For Cisco Comm Project; Greg Byles Comments

GTRIlogoGlobal Technology Resources Inc. has won a certificate of excellence from Lockheed Martin for deploying a Cisco communications and messaging system intended for 35,000 end users across the country.

GTRI is currently in the first year of the five-year contract to deploy Cisco’s SIP Enterprise telephony platform for Lockheed, GTRI said in a release.

The package includes the system architecture and GTRI is also assessing readiness, acquiring hardware and supply chain services and helping implement and test the system.

“We are very honored to receive this award,” GTRI CEO Greg Byles said.

“Lockheed has been a committed partner and client for many years, and earning their trust to deliver such a large-scale national project is a testament to both our historical success,” he added.

SIP Enterprise is intended to help Lockheed transition from a TDM model into a centralized SIP-based call control platform that could integrate with Lockheed’s video collaboration tool.

GTRI holds Cisco specializations such as Master Unified Communications, Master Security, Master Cloud Builder and Master Managed Services.
