Lockheed Launches New Website to Strengthen Communications with Suppliers; Susannah Raheb Comments

LockheedLogoLockheed Martin has introduced Supplier Wire, a supplier-focused website designed to strengthen its interaction with small businesses, according to a company statement

“Lockheed Martin is committed to small businesses and we continuously search for better methods to educate and engage with qualified diverse suppliers through more affordable solutions,” said Susannah Raheb, Lockheed Martin corporate supplier diversity leader.

Supplier Wire is expected to help provide small businesses with immediate procurement opportunities, educational resources, information on what Lockheed Martin buys and a calendar of the company’s supplier diversity events.

Supplier Wire will offer live chat sessions that will allow firms to interact with subject matter experts and receive answers in real time.

It will also contain information on how to seek a partner on a proposal pursuit and how to get added to the Small Business Innovation Research directory.

Last year, Lockheed awarded $6.4 billion in contracts to small businesses and businesses classified as diverse.

The company received an “outstanding” rating from the Defense Contract Management Agency for two consecutive years.
