NetApp has won a position in market research firm Gartner Inc.’s leaders quadrant for general-purpose disk arrays magic quadrant for its storage systems.
Gartner positioned NetApp in its Magic Quadrant following an evaluation of its FAS and V-Series arrays and the company is aiming to spur business growth through scalable data infrastructure, NetApp said Tuesday.
NetApp’s presence in the five major geographical regions, steady financial growth and interoperability across different platforms helped the company win the spot, Gartner said.
According to Gartner, general-purpose disk storage systems are intended to help fulfill shared storage requirements in a single environment that can support servers, desktop infrastructures, databases and applications.
