Northrop Grumman will bring one of its intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance planes to an international aerospace industry forum in Malaysia this week.

The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye will be featured at the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition between March 26 and 30, Northrop said Tuesday.

Malaysia is one of the first countries the U.S. government has approved to sample the plane, which contains an electronically scanned radar, sensors, avionics, processors, software and displays.

Hawkeye planes are intended for electronic warfare and command and control missions, Northrop says.

“ISR capability is critical to maintaining national sovereignty,” said Mary Petryszyn, vice president of international business for Northrop’s aerospace systems sector

To date, the company has delivered nine Hawkeyes to the Navy.
