Northrop Grumman will display a full-scale model of the James Webb Space Telescope for media and the general public Friday through Sunday in Austin, Texas.
The four-story high model, roughly the size of a tennis court, will visit a science festival as the company is aiming to promote future careers in science and engineering, Northrop said Monday.
The South by Southwest Interactive Festival is taking place at Austin’s Long Center for the Performing Arts.
Microsoft Research will also provide its Interactive World Wide Telescope for the exhibit.
On Sunday, NASA astronaut John Grunsfeld will teach an astronomy lesson aimed at breaking the Guinness world record for the largest outdoor astronomy lesson.
