He has previously helped companies start analytic and modeling offerings in industries such as healthcare, retail, manufacturing and utilities, Grant Thornton said Wednesday.
David Hazels, a Grant Thornton regional managing partner in the practice, said Higginbotham will aim to help clients use the firm’s technologies in addressing business challenges.
Prior to joining the firm, Higginbotham served as vice president for strategy and business development at startup software firm River Logic.
Grant Thornton says he developed a business planning and advanced analytics market there and was responsible for helping clients adopt Enterprise Optimizer for modeling and analytics.
He has also consulted companies in management, restructuring and reorganization.
Higginbotham holds an M.B.A from New York University’s Stern School of Business and bachelor’s degrees in finance and civil engineering from Clemson University.
