Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. will co-host a two-day workshop starting Tuesday that intends to identify and document best practices for mission assurance in the U.S. space program
The 2013 Mission Assurance Improvement Workshop in Boulder, Colo. is intended to culminate a nine-month private-public effort initiative to address issues facing the US space community, Ball Aerospace said Monday.
The Aerospace Corporation is partnering with Ball Aerospace to host the workshop.
Keynote speakers for the forum include Russ Romanella, safety and mission assurance director at the NASA Kennedy Space Center; and Walter Scott, DigitalGlobe founder, executive vice president and chief technological officer.
Agencies listed as attendees include the Applied Physics Laboratory, Missile Defense Agency, NASA, National Reconnaissance Office and the U.S. Air Force.
