Rob Strain, president of Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp., will participate in a panel discussion on carrying out space missions in a budget-constrained environment at a space industry conference that kicked off Monday.

The “Mission Assurance in a Budget-Constrained Environment” will take place on Wednesday at the National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colo., Ball Aerospace said Monday.

Ball Aerospace will also update media attending the conference on the Sentinel mission, a space-based infrared survey mission that is aiming to catalog 90 percent of asteroids measuring larger than 459 feet.

“The Space Foundation continues to advance the goals of the global space community by bringing together thought leaders from around the world to the National Space Symposium,” Strain said.

On Tuesday, Debra Facktor Lepore, vice president and general manager for strategic operations, will participate in a live taping of a PBS news program and give a closing speech on Thursday, designated as Space Career Day.
