Shea has led the educational service foundation for nine years since founding it and will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors, the USGIF said in a March 27 release.

Keith Masback, USGIF president, has succeeded Shea as CEO and the foundation has decided to no longer separate the roles of president and CEO.

Masback joined the foundation after a 20-year career in U.S. Army and civilian government service, having most recently served as a senior executive at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

“Since Keith joined USGIF five years ago, he has helped set the strategic direction and grow the foundation,” Shea said.

Aimee McGranahan, vice president of operations, has been promoted to the newly-created position of chief operating officer and will oversee the foundation’s day-to-day business.

Shea said McGranahan helped start the foundation after previously working as a project manager at TASC‘s space and intelligence operating unit while that company was owned by Northrop Grumman.
