accenture_ExecutiveBizAccenture will sign a statement of support with a Defense Department committee that supports military-friendly companies and host career workshops for military veterans during Military Appreciation Month.

The company will sign the pledge with the Pentagon’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve committee on May 21 at the North Carolina Employment Security Commission Offices in Charlotte, the company announced Tuesday.

Mike Salvino, Accenture group chief executive for business process outsourcing; and Bud Baker, North Carolina ESGR Committee chairman, will sign the pledge.

Military veterans attending the event will receive coaching on resumes and interviews as part of the company’s commitment to hiring veterans.

Accenture will also provide veterans videos, tools and advice on how to plan for a career, network and use social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
