It also intends to launch a talent exchange program this year with JPMorgan Chase and other member companies in the 100,000 Jobs Mission, according to an AT&T statement.
The initiative will give active military and veterans access to a database aimed to facilitate job referrals among coalition members.
AT&T said more than 92 percent of veterans it recruited continue working for the company after two years, compared with 88 percent of hires in the general population.
“Our nation’s service men and women make great sacrifices to protect our country and our freedom,” said AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson.
“It’s an honor to support them in their service, and an opportunity to recruit them as they transition to career opportunities in the private sector,” he added.
The company operates a career program and website for veterans and has a talent attraction manager responsible for military recruitment.
