dell logoDell will supply new computers and notebooks to a school system, seeking to upgrade the educational tools and materials available to about 13,000 students from 20 institutions in Georgia.

The new computers are meant to help Troup County offer interactive teaching methods and meet the state’s modernized learning mandate, Dell said Tuesday.

Troup County will acquire Dell’s Latitude e5530 laptops, Latitude 6430 ultrabooks and Optiplex 3010 desktop computers.

Josh Moneypenny, technology director for Troup County school system, said Dell will aim to help teachers and students use the computers to interact and discuss lessons.
