John Fratamico: SAIC Aims to Help DARPA Deter RF Threats

SAIC-LogoScience Applications International Corp. will compete for task orders to develop an electronic tool that the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency intends to prevent interference against U.S. military warfare systems.

The $31.5 million cost-plus fixed-fee contract includes a six-month base period and 54 option months, SAIC said Wednesday.

SAIC joined the Adaptive Radar Countermeasures program in March along with Vadum (click over to GovCon Wire for more details on the ARC program.

John Fratamico, an SAIC senior vice president and group general manager, said the company intends to develop a system that mitigates radio frequency threats against airborne platforms.

The company will compete for orders to design, develop, integrate and test a system intended to accept third-party algorithms.
