The 20-year industry veteran was formerly the CEO of Siemens‘ marine current turbines segment, Northrop said in a statement.
“His appointment will be important for our future success in the U.K. and Europe as we expand our international presence and broaden our market focus to one that is increasingly global,” said David Perry, Northrop’s corporate vice president and chief global business development officer.
Prior to Siemens, Tyler served as chief operating officer at the U.K. Ministry of Defense, where he oversaw support and procurement of defense equipment.
He also held various senior executive roles at BMT, a company that provides maritime engineering, science and technology consulting and technical support.
Perry said Tyler brings a wide range of skills, experience and knowledge in both the public and private sectors to his new role.
